“LISTEN” Exhibition

In response to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the War Childhood Museum launched “LISTEN,” a pop-up exhibition designed to uphold its mission by spotlighting the experiences of children impacted by war. The exhibition aims to foster empathy in viewers and prompt collective action for a peaceful future.

“LISTEN” centers on WCM’s Ukraine collection, supported by ongoing documentation from its Kyiv office. Initially showcasing objects and stories from children affected by the Donbas War and Crimea occupation (documented by the WCM from 2018 to 2022), it was later expanded to include experiences from the full-scale invasion.

“LISTEN” has traveled to six European countries, showcased at prominent venues such as the Council of Europe in Strasbourg and the International Council of Museums (ICOM) General Conference in Prague.
