The War Childhood Museum is once again joining hands with children from different parts of BiH, but this time with the aim of bringing joy to children from Ukraine.

A gift package with something that you bought or made yourself, together with a letter addressed to a boy or a girl you want to make happy, will mean a lot to Ukrainian children currently affected by war. Many of these children are separated from their families this holiday season, which is why the WCM and its partners will also deliver gift packages to children living as refugees. To make sure we reach as many children as possible, we invite you to join us in preparing the gift packages!

We will be collecting the gift packages by December 23, 2022, until the end of the Museum’s working hours (19:00). If you would like to join us, be sure to read the instructions sheet – it will give you ideas on how to prepare your gift package of friendship, and what you should keep in mind, and give you all the information on when, where and how to deliver it. The version in Bosnian language is available here.

The War Childhood Museum Team will distribute the gifts to children in Ukraine, as well as Ukrainian families currently in Poland, in coordination with Caritas. The media coverage of the initiative is provided by the online news portal Klix.ba.

Did you know that the last year’s initiative of the WCM community in BiH prepared close to 1.400 gift packages for children on the move living in the reception centers across the country? This year, we aim to bring even more joy, so get on board!
